Join us for the fourth annual Parkapalooza sand-sculpting contest! 25 teams will compete on the beach at Sanford Lake Park for cash prizes and the right to be named The Best sand artists in all the village. Teams may be from 2 to 5 individuals of any age group – under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Its fun and its free!

Guitar Hero III Tournament

Put your Guitar Hero skills to the test.
Compete for the highest point total to win prizes in four divisions: Easy, Medium, Hard and Expert.
Free entry.
Find your way to the Guitar Hero Tent anytime during the hours of competition, choose your song and division. The highest point totals for each division will be posted and updated throughout the competition. The highest scores at the end of the event will be announced from the main stage.

PARKAPALOZA 2008
The event is Free and great for families as well as music fans.
Farm Bureau Insurance presents the 4th Annual Parkapalooza hosted by DStreet Entertainment Foundation and Midland County Parks. It will be held September 07, 2008 at Sanford Lake Park (directions).
2007 marked the 3rd year of Parkapalooza and proved to be the largest event ever. With over 4,500 people in attendance to partake in music, sandsculpting, childrens games, and a movie at Sanford Lake Park.
Parkapalooza 2008
This year the Foundation has chosen to donate a portion of the funds to Safe and Sound, Child Protection and Advocacy program, whose mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect and to improve the quality of life for children.The event will include a 28 ft rock climbing wall for all ages, sponsored by The Rock Youth Center of Midland. A Youth Building Project sponsored by Lowes of Midland. An obsticle course donated by West Midland Family Center.
A Sandsculpting competition with cash prizes and including teams from the ACE Hardware of Sanford, The Great Lakes Loons, Saginaw Spirit and potentially from WHNN & WILZ Radio Stations.

With the addition of the new spray park at Sanford Lake Park and the new accessibility sidewalk to the beach there is an incredible amount of fun for the whole family.
